Essential Oils Neuropathy Feet

Hey guys, Dr. Axe here, Doctor of Functional Medicine. What I’m going to share with you today is natural remedies for thyroid health. There are more people than ever before that are struggling with hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s disease, hyperthyroidism, Grave’s disease. If you personally are one of those people that have a sluggish thyroid, a slow metabolism, maybe you exercise and the weight doesn’t come off like you should, if you struggle with adrenal fatigue or lack of energy, all of those are warning signs that you might have a thyroid issue.

In this tutorial, I’m going to cover my top five natural remedies that are safe, healthy, and effective for improving your thyroid function and helping your body heal any sort of thyroid issue. So for starters, the number one home remedy you need or natural remedy you need, to start to support the thyroid is ashwagandha. Ashwagandha is known as an adaptogenic herb. Adaptogen herbs mean they help you adapt and deal with stress, and ashwagandha has been used for thousands of years in Chinese medicine. Other adaptogenic herbs can include things like tulsi or holy basil, also things like.

Rhodiola and ginseng and liquorice root. All of those are adaptogen herbs, but ashwagandha may be the most effective at naturally supporting overall thyroid health, especially hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s. In fact, on the studies on it, it was actually shown to help both hyper and hypothyroid symptoms, which is amazing how ashwagandha works. The number two thing you should consider adding in to overall improve your thyroid function is selenium. Selenium is critical, it actually has very, very powerful antioxidantlike functions. So it is critical for overall supporting your thyroid health. In fact, studies have shown.

That selenium helps balance out T4 in your body hormones, so again taking a therapeutic dose of selenium everyday has also been shown to benefit thyroid function. The next thing you want are certain types of B vitamins if you want to improve thyroid function. There are two specifically I want to mention, and that’s thiamine and vitamin B12. So thiamine and vitamin B12 are two B vitamins you need that can actually improve thyroid function. If somebody is especially on a vegan or vegetarian diet, they’re absolutely going to be deficient.

In vitamin B12 and also are likely to be deficient in thiamine as well. So again, thiamine and vitamin B12 are also critical. Those are natural remedies number three. Four and five include probiotics. You know, probiotics are critical for digestive function. In fact, thyroid conditions have also been linked to a health problem called leaky gut. That’s where. Leaky gut is where a protein like gluten can leak through the gut, get in the blood stream, and cause inflammation throughout the body, but also it can cause inflammation of the thyroid gland. So again, healing a leaky gut is also important, probiotics.

The number one supplement for that. And then last, but not least, proteolytic enzymes. Enzymes reduce inflammation, especially if you have an autoimmunerelated thyroid condition like Hashimoto’s disease, taking proteolytic enzymes like bromelain can reduce inflammation of the thyroid. If you can do those five natural remedies that I mentioned, you’re going to see great results in thyroid function. Sometimes you can even find a blended formula as well with all of those ingredients in it that can support thyroid and adrenal gland function. So again, really take care of your thyroid, if you have any of those issues I mentioned,.

Natural Treatments for Diabetes

Hey guys, Dr. Axe here, doctor of natural medicine and founder of DrAxe. Today I’m going to share with you my top tips for reversing diabetes and natural treatments for diabetes. I promise, if you follow the diet tips, the supplement tips and the essential oil tips and lifestyle tips I give you, you’re going to see results really, really fast. In fact, I had a patient, Kirby, who was able to reverse his diabetes in just two weeks. I’ve had other patients in less time, some in just a few months. I guarantee you can see great results.

With this. Number one, let’s start with diet. When it comes to diabetes, especially type 2 diabetes, we really need to balance out blood sugar. Dietwise, there are certain foods that will help do that. First, let me kind of shape a meal for you. Ideally, your meals are going to be high in three things. Protein, fiber and healthy fat. So protein, fiber and healthy fat, those are the three things that are going to help balance out those blood sugar levels. What’s going to throw it off Sugar and carbohydrates. Now, you want some carbohydrates, but just.

A smaller amount. If not, that blood sugar is going to go up and down. So remember that, protein, fiber, healthy fat during all of your meals. Ideally, you’re also going to get foods that are very high in a type of mineral called chromium. Chromium picolinate is found in high levels especially in broccoli. So for you, broccoli is the ideal superfood for diabetics in helping balance out blood sugar levels. Also, consuming foods that are rich in magnesium. Magnesium has been shown to also help blood sugar levels, so foods like grassfed beef, certain types of nuts and seeds, also, many.

Vegetables are high in magnesium. So that’s another place you want to go. The number three food you want to focus on are foods that are high in fiber. This is probably the most important. You want to focus on fiberrich food, and by the way, if you want a list of the top 20 fiberrich foods, simply go to my website, DrAxe, that’s DRAXE dot com, search Fiber Foods or HighFiber Food, and I’ve got a list there of the top 20. Some of those include artichokes, figs, also things like broccoli, green leafy.

Vegetables, nuts and seeds like chia, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds are great, almonds, walnuts, celery, and there’s a lot longer list than that. But you want to load up on that list of highfiber foods and get as many of those as you can. That’s going to support detoxification and going to support those healthy blood sugar levels. The number four thing you want to do in terms of diet is start using coconut oil. Coconut oil is great for burning fat. It’s great for blood glucose levels. Start cooking with coconut.

Oil and using coconut milk or coconut oil in a morning superfood shake. Coconut oil is great, or else ghee, it’s GHEE, or grassfed butter, all of those work for balancing out blood sugar levels. Get those healthy fatty acids. And then lots of protein. Wildcaught salmon is the best. After that, grassfed beef, organic chicken and turkey, get more of that protein in your diet. That’s the ideal sort of diet you want to be following if you have diabetes. Now, the foods you want to stay away from are pretty obvious, but sugar and grains,.

Really, you want to stay away from all sugar the best you can. You want to replace it with stevia, a nocalorie natural sweetener. If you have to use a sweetener, a little bit of raw honey in moderation can be okay. Once your diabetes is reversed and you’re where you should be, raw local honey is another sweetener you can consider, as well as molasses. Again, the big thing, I think you realize you shouldn’t do a lot of sweets. But grains are another problem, especially glutencontaining grains, white flour products, wheat bread,.

Even wholegrain breads and oatmeal. All of those types of things, you want to eliminate grains while you’re healing from diabetes. The other foods you want to eliminate as well are going to be conventional dairy products like conventional milk. Certain types of dairy can be okay, for instance, like a goat cheese, small amounts of raw organic goat cheese is fine, but other things aren’t okay. You want to stay away from especially conventional milk. It contains a form of casein that’s going to cause some major health issues and blood sugar issues.

The next thing you want to do is, here are the best supplements for naturally reversing diabetes. Number one is take a chromium picolinate supplement, 200 mg three times a day with your meals. So again, chromium picolinate, most important supplement for diabetes, 200 mg three times a day. The next supplement is cinnamon. One teaspoon in the morning for breakfast, one teaspoon for lunch or dinner. Getting cinnamon in is great for blood sugar. Number three is a fish oil. That’s going to help reduce inflammation. Fish oil is great for diabetes. Also, number.

Four is going to be alphalipoic acid, known as ALA. It really works with your pancreas in naturally balancing out blood sugar levels. Number five is going to be magnesium. Magnesium is very effective at treating blood sugar levels. Now, I want to talk about essential oils that are also effective. Two essential oils I’d recommend are going to be cinnamon and coriander. Coriander actually works with your liver and communication in helping balance out blood sugar levels, and cinnamon works with your pancreas. So your liver and your pancreas, two important organs for balancing out those.

Blood glucose levels. What you can do is take a couple drops of coriander, a couple drops of clove with one teaspoon of coconut oil, rub those on the bottom of your feet, rub them on your body. You can even make your own homemade body butter or body lotion with those. Those oils really help in maintaining healthy blood glucose levels. Also, if you have diabetes, keep stress levels low. If you get stressed out, it is absolutely going to affect your hormones and your cortisol, which then in turn will affect your insulin.

Levels. So you want to keep stress levels low. I recommend a detox bath at night. Use some of the essential oils I talked about, something like the coriander with lavender oil with Epsom salts. Soak in a bath at night and relax. I recommend several times throughout your workday, get up and take a 10minute walk, taking deep breaths, relaxing, getting outside. And then exercising is also crucial. Burst training exercise is the best, but really, any form of exercise, including weight training or cardio, is good as well if you want to.

My Truth from Bedridden to Triumphant LivingBeing

Hi there, My name is Sbra and I have a little bit of a story to tell you this is my story.and. it has a happy ending. and I want to share it with you. I feel it’s really important uhm so, and I will try to get it done in the amount of time that I am. well I have goal time. uh. so obviously.uh. you’re here because you have questions or you’ve heard about people who’ve have very serious health issues that have gotten better. and I am one of those people.

I am ‘ yrs old. I was born into this world with what I call a ‘dancing spirit’. uh. was always dancing. always near the music. very symbiotic with movement and music. and always healthy never really sick. you know the stuff that people get that kids sometimes get. and I did however have a handful of migraines under the age of nine and then again uh. another handful.up until about my 14th year. and they were quite bad. I hadn’t any pain pills.pain relievers. I was raised basically, we were raised,.

Uh. to be wary to have a healthy respect for these medications. So, it wasn’t until I was fourteen I had this terrible migraine,.I remember my parent giving me three Tylenol acetaminophen and it.just. knocked me out! ya know, slept for hours and hours. uh. and then uh. within a year they were so bad, the migraines were so bad that they couldn’t tell, the doctors couldn’t tell where one left off and the next one began. Essentially I ended up having what they would be for threeandahalf months with a migraine.

And of course they had me on bloodvessel regulation medications you know variation medications and then of course whatever pain medication would work um. they didn’t really have migraine pain medication back then. but that was basically my introduction to the world of uh, sort of the beginning of the ‘world of pain’. also had some sort of some aches and pains, some muscle discomfort and joint stuff, I would have bruises that would appear around my joints particularly my knees. I was tested for autoimmunity things and autoimmunity ‘like’ things.

Basically that during that one year um. I went to they’re trying to figure out where all of these migraines coming from. I went to 32 doctors in one year. I felt and began to feel as if I lived in a doctor’s office. and you know that.they did the best that they could. The best that they knew. they. you know, however it was very much like you things are. and there is very good chiropractors out there you know I love you guys however, if you go to the Chiropractor, the chiropractors says.

oh well, you need adjustments. and if go to a physical therapist the physical therapist says it’s because you need physical therapy if I went to the the Neurologist, he said well ‘why are you reading this book’ because I would carry a book with me You look like a stressed out person and I think that you should go to the psychiatrist. and the psychiatrist would say oh, maybe these are seizures. okay so basically uh. yeah you go to this doctor and he says, Oh you have TMJ! and you go to the dentist says, no you don’t have.

TMJ, but maybe you have something like this. and uhm. within all of that, i don’t think there’s much helpful except that i learned ‘A’ doctors don’t really know very much about chronic situations ‘B’, I knew my body better than anybody. and ‘C’. you know there were very limited to their, Profession. however the Endocrinologist.yes, I went to an Endocrinologist too. did discover something very interesting. he discovered, on top of my verrry low blood pressure, that I always had, had. my blood pressure dropped thirty points from laying down to standing up.

Which could account for a lot of the dizziness and the ‘fainty’ feeling that i had a lot of the time. and of course any time that stress would happen. the migraines would get triggered and whatever. so then made my blood pressure drop even more.and that of course, caused some anxiety. however it really, really trying to manage the migraines was the Big point uh.and then I started to develop some other pains. very.. a lot of pain in my knees that would wake me up at night. and it would be like.

What older people. elderly people. described like. Rheumatoid Arthritis. like, serious. and I would think. I can’t tell people that because I’m a kid, basically. ‘.No ones going to believe that.’. And I would wake up in the middle of the night Kind of moaning from this pain. and stumble into the bathroom and try and run hot water over my knees. and my mom would come in. and wonder what was going on in the middle of the night. ya know and, that would help. but I always slept terrible. Terrible!.

I never seem to get what other people would get out of sleep. I would wake up. i don’t know, I just. I never wanted to go to sleep because I never felt good or get sleepy. and then on top of it it was never this refreshing thing that other people seem to experience. um. instead I uh, as the pain got worse as I got older The pain would be bad in my dreams and I would have nightmares about being in pain. So time goes on, and basically.

Aches and pain and joints and this and that and i’ve learned my own triggers for migraines and I’ve weaned myself off of the stuff the doctors given me and I’m managing that. However I’m having a lot of joint pain and muscle pain and I feel fatigued and then um. I was in a motorcycle accident not my fault.! and then within two years, a car accident and that was a ‘hit and run’. and essentially they both were, and uhm, in the car accident.I was. the door had to be torn off.

Of the car to get me out. And I was in extraordinary pain they put me on a morphine drip. they thought I was having some sort of. ‘cardiac event’. because the pain was so bad that my heart it, couldn’t manage.. basically at that point, you know, I mean. of course, went to the proper practitioners and everything to try and get better and to recuperate from the situations of course, then I got the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome. I also had a diagnosis of asthma at the time.

Uh. Restless Legs. Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, Environmental Sensitivities..trying to remember all of the diagnosis. I had both Classic and Common migraines and all their variations. I can’t even remember all the diagnosis at the time all of them i really don’t care andor care to remember.Truthfully! and then I seemed to get stronger.a little better and to recover, but there is still the muscle pain, the migraines pretty severely and so go forward a few years uh. I’m having some fatigue. and I see a Doctor because my pain levels have gotten to.

The point whereas one of the things that i have yet to mention, is the extraordinarily painful menstrual cycles. And one of the things i had been, they were so bad, they were SO Bad, that basically, you know around the time that I was Twenty, the doctors said, you know hysterectomy.just the best thing and I didn’t! Of Course I still, try to work it, like I do everything. try to manage with my diet and nutrition and every new supplement.and believe me, I learned everything and anybody who knows me.

Can tell. that when I learn something, I Learn it! and when I am faced with something, I am one of these people, that if i can identify it, then I can problem solve it! and so, I had done that.oh boy, Fibromyalgia.I knew that! Oh Migraines. there was nobody that knew more about Migraines than me! how they work, what’s happening. you know what stage do you do ‘this’, and what natural remedies can do and when do you put your hands under hot water and when do you put them under cold water,.

And muscle pain and how to handle all of these things and um. yeah, that’s basically what you are learning to deal with constantly. and you know, when you have so many things, that’s all you’re doing. Right Your life that’s what it becomes.and so then basically I started to have, even more symptoms only these became neurological. and Pain in nature and some neurodegenerative types of ‘looking’ things. and when i was younger they had presumed that I may have had some slight stroke or something, when I had, during one of the.

Migraines because my left side had become so. ‘unable’. And uhm, then I started to develop, in my midtwenties started to develop these neurological issues. And neurological Pain. and there was a preliminary diagnosis, presumption, was some kind of ‘MS’Multiple Sclerosis uhm and I became bedridden. In my late twenties. and, uhm.Yeah. and when I say bedridden uh. I. layed in bed. There was a TV that was across the room at a diagonal. I could see that. I could see if I moved my eyes, like a foot and a half to the right,.

If the window was up, and I could see out the window and the curtains pulled back, I could see into a bush and um. there was a bird, that would visit in the bush. and i could see the laptop which was next to the bed, and i could see when the bedroom door was open, i could see down the hall a few feet. to the end, of the hall. which was a wall. And that was it. I took three steps to the bathroom, the toilet. With help.

And with help could stand in front of the sink, and wash my hands. And then three steps back. Food had to be left for me within arms reach, and water. And I was like that. for most of Eight years. That seems very surreal. It seems like a very sad story to me. yeah. uh. basically what happens is that I felt that there were things at the house there where I was at, that were making it worse so I uh, sort of did what I could, begged to get out of there.

I moved temporarily into a hotel. and then into a smaller place that I hoped that I could manage. uhm, I like, at the time i stopped calling myself bedridden. although if i’m honest.that’s where I lived. ah, it’s just NOW when I walked to the bathroom, I walked several steps, and I walked it by myself. however couldn’t comb my hair, most days, I couldn’t wash my face most days. And the neurological pain, was.uhn. un, Unbelieveable. and this is what I would tell the doctor, there is it is so difficult to comprehend.

. as if i was On Fire, and sweating, but cold and frozen at the same time! and. over my entire body, and that’s I could Not Imagine my leg being Sawedoff being more painful. I could not imagine that. There were whole. hours!, days! where I would just be Writhing in pain. For hours.and hours. And this was with the pain medications the doctors had given me! here and i would be something that wasn’t and for those of you know uh. x but most potent pain relievers anyhow.

Colors harmful outside that takes f because what would happen would help the joint pain and i don’t want to take more kissing it like region monica townhome breaking that cycle so they stick with little as possible wilted and i hope that drops liquid for emergencies basically solidify that that i had to go to the ear to the emergency room then i would take this everything or philly it was a really good you know if i was like ya republican members have struck with pain and i was.

Gonna pass out soon server agencies and um. then of course azathioprine migraines and that’s different and something for sleeping that’s different and for these times with that i would call that torturous in a recent sanctions it is ticklish on fire in that would happen in responding parents isn’t it by i can’t it’s unscrew and uh. i was trying to be functioning return can confirming chastising hotbed for taking some of the pool stamps and at the same insane tumhara trenches kian joo renting a room trying to get you.

Food Safety HexaneExtracted Canola Oil

United Healthcare Ask the Expert Kathleen Zelman, Nutrition Expert Kathleen Zelman in her kitchen Kathleen Zelman There is some misinformation that’s circulating about canola oil, and one of our viewers wants to know if she should be concerned about the use of hexane in the processing of the oil and if she should avoid it. So, I’m glad to get this question because there is misinformation. Canola is produced and refined much like many other refined vegetable oils. They take the seeds, they crush them, they press them, they often add some heat to the processing to extract.

The oil from the seeds. And, in the process, hexane is a solvent that’s used in the processing, but, it is removed from the oil before packaging. They go through a process known as deoderizing’, which is much like washing of the oil to extract and remove any hexane that might have remained. It’s important to note that refined oils have to adhere to very strict safety and quality standards, and that the use of hexane is approved by the Food and Drug Administration, by Health Canada, European Union, World Health Organization. So the process is safe and effective. And.

There have been decades of studies that show canola oil is safe and it’s healthy. In fact, canola oil is probably one of the healthiest oils that we have, and I highly recommend using it. It has a higher smoke point than say something like olive oil. It’s the least saturated of all the vegetable oils. And it has the most plantbased omega3 based fatty acids than any other oils. So, it doesn’t have much taste or odor, so it’s great for cooking. In my house I usually use olive oil or canola oil depending on what I’m preparing.

High Blood Sugar Levels Short Term Effects
